Getting US Dollars in Argentina, Bariloche

I will be travelling through Chile and Argentina for a few months, before joining up with an overland tour, which requires a local payment of US$600 cash. Obviously would prefer not to be carrying that much cash for the preceeding months. Does anyone know if it is possible to get US Dollars from banks in Bariloche, either from changing travellers cheques or with credit cards? Thanks
