We are a small business who attend some exhibitions around the country. Most of our items are over 50 and we are constantly being asked to accept credit cards. Having 'Googled' for information about mobile units it seems to be a maze of different set ups. Does anyone use a mobile card service and would they recommend them. Obviously a lot of the ones I have looked at are just not cost effective for us so any help would be fab!

We use Streamline and have done for years. Never had any problems. Whether it's cost effective will depend on how much business you do. You could consider an office based machine, not mobile, and just phone the card details through to your office. Not quite as slick as doing it through a terminal at the exhibition but cheaper.
we use the online secpay facility - but obviously means you will need to take a laptop and have internet access at exhibition but beauty of this is you will instantly see whether the card has been accepted or declined and be able to pull off a report at the end of the day showing total transactions and all the cardholder details.

Have never used Streamline so unsure whether this is similar.

Have a look and see what you think anyway:

We use ingenco credit card machine, this has made it a lot easier for our customers to pay and bought in more trade because they didn't have to pay by cheque or cash
