Do you actually mean the pros and cons of paying, or collecting (i.e. what is the benefit to the Government in collecting various taxes)? The one of the pros of paying tax that is legally due is you stay out of prison. The one of the cons is you have less money to spend on consumer durables and entertainment.
Do
Council and Government functions have to be paid for. What worries me is that more than half the population of working age are either employed in the public sector or supported by it via some form of benefit, all through taxation. Another thought - if there were no black economy we could afford all the hospitals, schools, police, public transport, health serivces and other public services we need but currently cannot afford with not probs at all.
Somebody else who should do their own research if they are to gain any sort of credit for the work they do for their degree/job interview etc ..
