Just spoke to my bank regarding my bank charges and they told me they have upto 8weeks to reply to me. Is this correct? The problem is I am not sure if I put a deadline on my letter for a reply, pritty sure I did. What would you advise? Thanks in advance!

First letter I sent (advising that I wanted details of my charges over the previous 6 years) gives them 40 days to respond. My 2nd letter, itemising and totaling these charges gives them 14 days to respond. For a great step-by-step guide, use www.moneysavingexpert.com - I am, it gives templates for letters and full guidance - well worth looking at.
My sister and I went on the Which? website, they provide draft letters for you to send and give you advice. When we sent the first letter it gave the bank 40 days to reply. When sending correspondence you should really give a timescale in which you expect a reply it is usually around 28 days or so. I suggest you go on the Which? website as they are very helpful.
