Why are you charged extra when buying a Postal Order from the Post Office?.For example if you buy a �12.50 postal order you are charaged over �13.

The Postal Order service costs money to run - printing, admin, accounting, staffing. Someone's got to pay for this. The interest on �12.50 for a week, say, doesn't amount to much - maybe about a penny.
