I have some shares in the AIM VCT2 venture capital trust. Over the last month they have dropped in value significantly. Can someone say what led to the drop as can't find any information on it. Thanks

I also have shares in this scheme. The net asset value is currently 81p and AIM has been buying in its own shares ( for .70p ish ) presumably to improve the future earnings per share figure. The last issue of C shares due to become A shares in 2009 didn't sell well but the market is pretty flat as there is too much money chasing suitable new AIM listings. I remember some time ago in the Annual Report that shares were being traded at well under value and we were advised to hold on and not sell at a discount. Also when we bought them there was a tax credit of 20% . Any other news would be appreciated but the results are due soon.
