NTL have told my sister in law that because shes in arrears they will not disconnect her. She owes them about 70 and is going to pay , but in the mean time shes getting billed 17.99 each month , but how is she supposed to catch up with payments if shes still getting billed.

Shes well out of the 12month contract and does not use the computer/internet at all.

Is this right , NTL say its there policy they cannot disconnect anyone who is in arrears.

How can people catch up if they are still getting billed ?

Thanks for any replies.

I'm not too sure on the answer to your question. However, I have personal experience of Ntl and I think they are attrocious. I cancelled my account with them last year, by letter and email. (They never answered their phones!) They stopped sending me invoices, which led me to believe they had received my letter, but 5 months later I received a random bill for the months I had been with another provider, which I ended up paying.

Check out your sister in laws contract which she would have received when she first signed up with them. If possible, I would try and help her pay off her arrears asap, and then cancel the account - but make sure, you have it in writing from Ntl that they have cancelled the account!

They are known as "NT HELL"
