Foolishly, and without shopping around, I took out a loan of 5,000 over 5 years with the Household Bank 2 years ago. Repayments are by direct debit and are 211 per month. I am told that, to settle the loan, I have to pay over 7,000. I feel that I have been legally trapped and that I am paying too much for this loan.
