Hi there,

I have currently got a contract with vodafone, a 12 month contract deal for the 3G data card. The problem is I have to leave the country and move on to germany (work wise), I tried to cancel the contract here and take it with me to Vodafone germany but that is not possible.

I have been to a shop today and I have been told that they are going to charge me the full lenght of the contract as there is no other possibilty.

I know when you are in Germany (or in other countries of the European Union) and you leave the country for a nother job you are able to cancel all contracts.

Can anybody help me how to get rid of my contract?

I stayed in a different country for a few years and had the same problem with a phone contract. I tried to sort it out with the phone company but they tried to insist I paid until the end of the contract.

In the end I closed my bank account and left the country - I didn't pay and there wasn't much they could do and I've never heard anything more.

Changing to a cheaper tariff for the remainder of contract then paying it off might save you a bit (if it is possible to do that).
