Further to my earlier post. It’s the end of the month, and my wife has had a total of 3 pension payments this month. She is supposed to have one weekly. I’ve emailed and got no reply off DWP. Not even an acknowledgement to the email.Phoned the number for Wolverhampton, and got nowhere. The answer machine goes through the usual. Do to covid etc.etc . Press 1 for this 2 for that. In the end the person says goodbye. End of call. Anyone know of a number I can speak to a real person. I’ve contemplated going to a Jobcentre. Or is it a waste of time as they’re a completely different department.

are jobcentres open in lockdown?
i can usually get to speak to someone at DWP, have had to talk to them about Pension credit, as its sunday you need obviously to try tomorrow when open.
Advice from my local Jobcentre plus is do not visit unless requested to by the Jobcentre, and contact them by phone or email, and gives relevant details.
see if there is a different number on here

I would persevere with the phone number for the Wolverhampton Pension Centre: 0800 731 0469. I had a problem last week and got through to someone who sorted it out for me.

Ignore all the stuff about 'only proceed if it's an emergency' etc, and listen carefully to the options. Don't give up!
Reading your post again, no point in contacting Jobcenter, as you say, nothing to do with them. Continue trying to contact DWP.
quite, as i said i haven't had any problems getting through on the phone.
Earlier in the year, Mr U found phoning the minute they opened got a quick answer.
i can't remember what time i phoned, keep trying the number you have or one that maybe in my link...
On what dates were the credits received and what periods did they cover?
It is your wife that needs to telephone and email them, bob, unless you have LPA.
Just keep trying, you will get answered eventually. As ubasses has said, first thing in the morning is usually better.
Have you checked to see if the missing payment, presumably at the beginning of the month, was paid early at the end of December in view of the Bank holidays?
Good point, petland - many pensions and benefits were paid days early during the Christmas and New Year period.
I know my payment due first week in January was paid early. I'd not noticed and wondered why I 'still' had x amount in my account.
I've had not one but two Cold Weather Payments this month! Anyone else?
There must have been separate seven-day periods of 0°C or under in your area.
Sadly not, brainiac, none of the pensioners in this household get pension credit
Has she had a letter about her pension amounts intervals and first payment and what it covers?
Read your last thread again Bob. She got one on 31 December. Seems okay to me.

bobinwales yes she had a payment end of Dec 2020.
Payments were 30/11. Then 14/12, 21/12, 23/12, 31/12. So that’s 4 payments in Dec. Not sure why 21/12&23/12 was together. After 31/12 had one on 11th of Jan, not one week later as I would have expected. Then 2 after that. 18/01, 25/01.So that makes 3 in Jan not 4.
