I've recently opened a new account with nationwide purely for the 12 months 0% overdraft.

I have received details of my new account in the post today and t doesn't mention anything about the 12 months 0% overdraft........just the fact that I have £xxx available arranged overdraft and if I go over £10 I will be charged 50p a day for the period I'm over capping it at £42 a month apparently.

Does the fact that If my documents don't say anything about the 12 months 0% I don't have it? Or will I still have it?

I have tried ringing but the automated voice says I need my unique identification code which I don't have a clue what that is so can't get anywhere on the phone to ask................its not the long number that's on the card.

Maybe it is 0% interest but there is a fee of 50p a day, though that's hardly a fantastic deal
I think the unique ID code must be on the paperwork if you have any.
Have you still got a copy of what was offered initially?
are you sure it was 0% overdraft,. and not 0% balance transfer (which is what I got)?

Ring your local branch, don't ring the central number which needs your code - or just go into the branch tomorrow morning.
I have just looked at the Nationwide website and there is no mention of a 0% overdraft on a current account. As boptops mentoned it may have been a 0% balance transfer on a credit card.

Take the paperwork into your nearest branch and ask them to explain just what you're getting with this account.
Methyl's link says:

"We'll also give you a 3 month interest-free overdraft
For the first 3 months of an agreed overdraft, we won't charge you interest if you use it.
Conditions apply – see footnote 2"

Footnote 2 says:
"To be eligible for the 3 month interest-free overdraft on our FlexAccount, all we ask is that you use our Account Transfer Service to switch your existing Direct Debits and standing orders when you open your new account. When you apply we’ll ask you for the details of the bank account you want to switch. Don’t worry, switching to us is easy, and we can manage it for you."
