I have money in a current account with them but dont have any direct debits coming out or any paid in ( wages ) so its just a " holding" for the money i have in there ( not a lot ), can i get an isa with them does anyone know ,
Can't see why not, they advertise them and you and open one with or without having accounts with them. I have similar to you with them 'cept not an ISA as the rate is lower than other places I've looked at.
You'd do much better to convert your current account to a Lloyds "Vantage" account. It pays 4% (subject to tax, so 3.2% net) on balances up to £6,000 at the moment. The best ISA Lloyds do is 2.4% tax-free if you tie up the cash (maximum £5,760 for this tax year) for 4 years.
You have to have £1,000 per month paid in, but you can do that by transferring it in from another account and transferring it out immediately.
