I was recently called and offered a deal on an O2 / 3 mobile, the 18 month contract was 25 a month, with 3000 inclusive any-network minutes, and was half price for the first 6 months. It also came with loads of extras. This is despite my APPALLING credit rating (seriously, its bad). It sounds too good to be true, and when that is the case, it usually is. Does anyone know if this is legitimate?

Do you really mean 3000 (three thousand) minutes or did you mean to type 300 (three hundred)?

If it IS 3000 then I would think there is definitely something fishy going on.   300 isn't too bad, depends who is offering the deal I suppose, have you ever heard of the company before?  Do you know anyone else with the same deal?

are you sure is any-network minutes? u have to be careful when they trying to sell over the phone because they might have made a mistake and you need it writing. Most of the time they wont send you no paper work and you have to buy on the spot and u cant ring them back, they wont give u a number either. have these too many times. They say they give u this and that eg accessories.. but u end up with none,

I know someones got this package on a 3 phone 1500 minutes off-peak x-network calls for 5, 1st 6 mnths half price, 18 months contract, but the phones a brick. Off-peak calls are rubbish, u end up paying more.

I think is off peak x-network.  Look here is a similar package.

If you have a poor credit record that suggests you may not be very well off financially at the moment. If this is the case the first question you need to answer is do I really need to spend 300 per year on a phone.
If you do then go and trawl the high street for the best deal.

If if it is legit, which I doubt, never buy anything from an unsolicited phone call - it only encourages them!!
last paragraph should read "Even if its legit..."
