// Elderly people should be encouraged to go back to work and move into smaller homes, one of David Cameron’s key advisers said last night. //

http://www.telegraph....ork-and-downsize.html

// He also suggested that elderly people who did not move to smaller homes were contributing to the shortage of housing in England. //

This is an outrageous attack on our more senior citizens and represents a Government that has list touch with the people.

I will miss AOGs daily musings, but on the plus side, seeing a fully stacked shell in Aldi is also satisfying.

David Cameron should go out and get a proper job.

I hardly think he'd agree to work for Germans and be paid in euros. But I thought there was an unemployment problem. How is urging golden agers back into the market place going to help this?
Yep, nothing like a fully stacked shell...
Gromit, you have plumbed new depths, you are truly despicable with this personal attack.
On another thread earlier, people were matched to fruit/veg.

Anotheroldgit came up as - Sauerkraut - long shelf-life,sour/pungent aroma/taste..

You can clean clean out the bogs in the Council offices for your bus fare home, and have 15 illegal immigrants kip in you back bedroom. David Cameron's advisor thinks that is a good idea.
^that was a game,kiddywinks..mere whimsy.. ^
Why name drop other people when you sarcastically lampoon the elderly?
calm down, Toby, distinguish between despicable attacks and gentle teasing. It's fair enough to wonder what he'd think of Halpern's suggestion.

I tried to inject some humour into a serious question. Unfortunately only miserable funckers are awake at this time .

I will re-phrase the question more seriously.

Are all you OAPs/Pensioner prepared to stop being a burdon on the the country and flig your guts 'til you die, as suggestted by that nice Mr Cameron's advisor.?

I think we can instantly count on Toby570 to do his bit for his country in its hour of need. Anymore volunteers?
I'm not miserable. Unfortunately I'm not sleepy either.
nah..we both do plenty,thanks..me,I do work for charity.

My girlfriend makes a huge contribution to the well-being of a range of clients, and a roof over their heads...she got millons of brownie points..shh..she would be a bit cross, that the bushel was lifted..
