If I remember correctly DLA is not means tested so that won't be affected. HB/CTB will have to be reassessed after looking at the joint income.

So it is still possible to receive such benefits even if one partner is in employment.?

Would the Pension Credit be took into the equation or just State Pension?
I don't know about those things, but I do know that if you are currently receiving 25% rebate on your council tax because you live alone, you will lose that as soon as a partner moves in.
Yes, it's possible if you're on a low income. It really depends on how much joint income you have.
Boxy...they are receiving council tax benefit.

Thank you all.
Everything is taken in to consideration except the DLA.
Unless you give amounts no-one can tell you but I think it is unlikely that you will still be eligible for pension credit if your partner moves in also I doubt you would still get HB/CT benefit. In our area a pension age couple is said to need £236 a week income anything over that and your HB/CT will reduce as will your pension credit.

Did the online Benefit Calculater and it would appear that one would get HB/CT,maybe because of the DLA.
Yes - the DLA can result in an increase in HB/CTB. But the entitlement to all the benefits other than DLA & state retirement pension will depend on the joint income of both partners.

Another question about benefits:I am on State Pension+Pension Credit.I get housing and C/T benefits.Plus high rate mobility allowance.
I have just been told that one cannot have anyone staying eg:
My daughter and son-in-law coming for a holiday.
Does anyone know more about this, please?
no, that's not true.. but you have to declare if anyone moves in/out, or if you receive any income.
There is a difference between someone staying with you for a short time for a holiday - which does not affect anything unless you are receiving money for letting out the rooms - and someone coming to live in your property with you for an indefinite period. The latter has to be reported.
I think you have to declare a change of circumstances to your living arrangements, then let the DWp decide, to be on the safe side. The Council Tax will probably be revised.
