My sister has just been in touch with a problem and i dont know the answer.
She works in a nursing home and gets her wages paid on the last friday of each month. which is when she pays her morgage.
The home has just been taken over by new people and the only thing that is going to change is the date of her wages which will be the 8th of every month. Now the previous owners are going to pay her up untill the 8th and the new owners from then on which means she will not have the full money for her morgage. She lost her husband a few years ago so she does struggle and has no spare cash to pay two lots of money in one month who would you approch the new owners or the morgage lender many thanks

Does she have any savings she could use?
If not she need sto ask the mortgage company whether she can change the date of payment. They may say no but she should ask
Contact the mortgage lender and they should be able to move her payment date to fit in with her new salary date. Ours did just that some years ago.
just pay what she can and then when she gets her next pay get it up to date. Just tell he lende what's occurring. Lenders are very cooperative if you comminicate, they hate the head in the sand routine. hey will also alter the day in the month 2 suit if aksed. There is no crisis here.

Hi,
I used to work for a mortgage provider. For a client to ask to change their payment date is nothing out of the ordinary, she won't get a smear on her character for that. She doesn't even need to mention her change of circumstances at work. If she's asked, then she should just explain it's going to be more convenient for her to budget during the month of transition. Better not mention that she is struggling to meet her repayments!
Good luck!
I had a similar dilema a few years ago when our company got taken over and pay day moved. I am with the Halfix and when I rang them it was no issue to change and took about 5 minutes to sort.
If I understand correctly as long as they get a payment in that calender month it doesnt matter what date it is.
I moved mine from 1st of month to 28th and in doing so i got another pay day in the middle which also helped when i moved house too.
