Anyone else getting suspicious about the 'new warehouse' excuse for order delays? They've taken my money 3 weeks ago, but no goods yet. We should be told!

While I do sympathise, I hardly think they would be doing the best for their employees and shareholders if they announced publicly that they were in financial difficulties. That really would finish them off in spectacular style. If they are in trouble I hope you paid with a credit card.
BTW I have no idea whether this particular company is in trouble i am speaking generally.
They are going to the dogs, i have just made a call to someone who knows. There is a site that will tell us, i too am waiting for an order, when i know the site i will let you know.
Try google?
Dear Mr Ed

I'm sorry that you haven't received your order. There has been a slight delay due to our Company going into receivership. Don't worry, if we can't deliver your good we will take your money anyway and keep you in the dark about what is happening.

I DON'T THINK SO, DO YOU???

It's a privately owned company (owned by Fran Cotton and Steve Smith mostly). It won't be the first time employees have arrived at the gates of their employers one morning to find them shut and barred. It won't be the first time company owners have done a runner with the money. Yes, I used Visa, so I'm OK thanks. Funny how they have just emailed all their customers offering 20% off everything - a last tactic to get as much cash in as possible??
I placed an order in December and was also concerned at the delay. I read the terms and conditions and they say with 28 days (I think). They did deliver within that time to be fair but they don't have free returns so I won't buy from them again. I need to check that they refunded my money too!
Came across this thread by chance yesterday and it has answered some questions for me. Early last year I discovered that my Debit card had been used twice without my knowledge top the tune of almost 200. I contacted my bank straight away and my card was cancelled and I eventually was repaid the money after an investigation. The point I am making is that on checking with Google after reading the thread I realised that my card was one of the ones that went "missing" from Cotton Traders and looking back thru bank statements it all tied in with me purchasing an item from them at that time. They are constantly sending me special offers but I think now they are well left alone.
