can i put my son in laws name on my mortgage

my son in law has been paying the biggest part of my mortgage as i fell into difficulties with it,is it possible to have his name added to my mortgage .

Only if you allow his name to be on the title deed as well, so he becomes an owner in the same way you are.

He will have to satisfy the lender he is a good credit risk too.

Bear in mind that if you follow this course, there may be severe consequences for you
You could register a 2nd mortgage in his favour for the amount he has lent you - a solicitor will help with this.
But as Ethel says - be careful. Take legal advice.
