These days, apart from the cost, my electricity bill from Powergen is too difficult for me to understand, and therefore check. It lacks easy-to-follow steps, and now includes a Single Fuel Discount without proper explanation of how it is calculated, or of when and why it was brought out.
I am considering switching to Atlantic Electric and Gas (Scottish & Southern) but so far they have not replied to my request for an example of an Economy 7 bill, including any supplementary charges / rebates, to see if I can understand their billing better.
Has anyone else got this problem, and can preferably tell me their solution please?

I too find Powergen's bill's difficult to read. (My mother is with them and reluctant to switch) What's worse is that they issue them at odd times, so the periods are not comparable.

The only solution I've come up with is quite a complicated one. I put everything on an Excel spreadsheet a couple of years ago and now I can track in plain English.

I myself am with Scottish Power online and it's very simple to understand.
Powergen's bill are easier to understand online apart from explaining how it costs 70 a month more than it cost 15 months ago
