I have a redundant ceiling pull cord two way switch that needs removing. I need to keep the wall switch. Are there any web sites that could help me?

Melv there are a few different methods for wiring a 2 way light circuit. Unless you are pretty clued up with electricity wiring it can bite you. Get a neon tester screwdriver for a start. Switch off or pull the fuse in the light circuit. I do not know if the ceiling is under your roof space or upstairs boards, but access above would be useful. Remove the cover from the pull switch and make a wiring diagram or take a picture close up on your phone. You will need to keep the wiring as it is using a junction box or good block connectors and pull it through into the roof space or between the ceiling and upstairs boards. Secure it to make sure it is not a hazard for the future. do not think you should attempt changing the wiring circuit unless you are au fait with house wiring. You will have to repair the ceiling where the wiring is presently pushed through to the fitting.
It's necessary to see how it's wired to make decisions, but I'd suspect that the lived mains goes first to the light fitting and then a cable runs from there to the switches to switch the live to the lightbulb. You'd need to ensure that cable only goes to the wall switch, adding or removing connections as needed.

Once the pull cord switch is isolated it can be removed.
O G some circuits switch the neutral leaving the light fitting potentially live even when the light is off. It can be dodgy. That is why a meter or neon test screwdriver is essential.
Oh there are plenty of idiots around who don;t leave things up to standard. But you are likely to get flak recommending the neon screwdriver :-)
... don't ...
Like I ALWAYS type (and the tech always changes while I'm not looking)

Thankyou all for your answers. Gorrit sorted by accosting a sparky who was working across the road.
Good move.
Tog....a neon screwdriver AGAIN....and block connectors in a roofspace?...perleeeese
Sparks I have an avo volt meter from my electronics days. I know that most people cannot lay hands on a meter but a neon tester could save a life if that is all they can lay hands on. I also said junction box to terminate the old fitting. I would have done neither. I would have rewired it and got rid of the 2 way circuit. I would not advise anyone to touch electrickery if they have no knowledge. LOL it was melv who accosted the sparky.
