I'm writing a business plan and want to give some figures that are indicative of what revenue I can expect from site traffic. i appreciate that due to the number of variables involved any info from other sites is largely useless but i would really appreciate some ball park figures e.g. 50,000 click through per week = 100 affiliate revenue. thanks

It depends entirely on the type of site you have.

If it's an online retailer, you can expect the sale to click ratio to be anywhere from 1:100 (or less - sites like Amazon get a lot of window shoppers), to 1:2 (online pizza ordering, for example. Most people who go to the site are already intending to buy).

The affiliate system is probably best looked on as a reward card (like a nectar card) in that it gives a trivial amount back depending on traffic/spend.
