I live in the UK and want to set up as self employed registered for tax in the UK. All my work will be overseas. Will I have to pay UK tax for the work I do, and can I claim UK travel and corporate expenses back from the tax man?

But assuming you are ordinarily resident and domiciled in the UK, you will pay UK tax on your earnings.
Yes you can claim expenses solely incurred in the course of your business, subject to the rules that HMRC operate by.
