Is there anywhere I can check to see if a Ltd Company has had a previous claim made against them for breach of Sale Of Goods Act 1979? Free information would be ideal but I'm willing to pay a small fee if there is no alternative. Do the Companies House searches give this kind of information?
Thank you for looking

you could try searching on companies house, although most of the reports for limited companies are with regard to company accounts etc.

You do have to pay for reports but they only cost 1 each and are available to download within a few minutes.

Have you thought about trying trading standards?

Thanks philm09, Consumer Direct have been helping with my complaint and have now passed details back to Trading Standards as it is about a faulty motorhome which was sold to us recently in an unroadworthy and dangerous condition. Frankly the attitude of the owner of the business is appalling and I just wondered if I could find details of any other complaints about them (there must be some)
If you subscribe to Which? Legal Service (very low annual subscription) they can help you pursue a claim against the trader. Not sure if you can join retrospectively, but it's worth asking. I've used them a lot and had way more value from them than what I've paid over the years.
