If I supply glazed kitchen door frames is it a legal requirment for the glass to be toughened or not ? I know of some manufacturers who insist on the glass being toughened and others who don't .

Your question is not clear - do you mean glazed doors or glazed cupboard doors?

If doors - the legal requirement is the glass must be impact safe, so it must be toughened.

To cover yourself, consider phoning your local council who will tell you exactly what meets minimum legal requirements.

Yes, if these are doors that form part of the fabric of the house structure then Building Regs applies and glass in doors have to be toughened.
