Family members who founded US Companies

A Greek grandfather of mine established companies in the UK and US in the early 20th Century. I have tracked down scant details of the UK company but would love to find details of the US company. The name is still in use but I can't find the Company address as there doesn't seem to be an equivalent organisation in the US to the UK Company House.
Any knowledge of possible websites???
