can anyone tell me the share price for various years from 1980 onwards. Most were bought on staff share schemes or as profit sharing.

Which Royal Bank?
The RBS web site has an on line tool that allows you to do this.

It only goes back to 1995 though.

If you are still with them there may be some internal resource available to you - archived annual reports for example?

royal bank of scotland, we are now in pension scheme but looking like it could cost almost 100 an hour for bank to archive info, with no upper limit, or no guarantee how much time it would take to unearth this info. We could set a limit of say 500 to find this info but that might not be long enough.
If anyone else can give some ideas for where to look but will try annual reports. thanks
http://www.londonstockexchange.com/en-gb/produ cts/informationproducts/historic/hps.htm

will get you the information - at a cost though. At least it's not open ended.

thanks but thought that rbs would be the cheaper option considering it is their shares!!
why not go to the library and get archive copies of the Financial Times?
Question Author
worth a try, thanks
Do you still need this? I can get them going back to '89 but no further back. Maybe they merged around this time? If you know, then I can also get the other company's prices.
