Hello!

It's that time again, we're approaching that most holy of things: a bank holiday. But not any bank holiday, it's the one where Moses casts a plague of chocolate eggs on our supermarkets.

(Sorry, is that right?)

What would be a more appropriate way to celebrate easter for those of us not breaking chocolate eggs to make a chocolate fondant?

I know the feeling well OG it's like the creams cakes that get into my trolley when I don't see them then it's too late I am too busy packing my bag at the checkout I don't notice them till I get home .
You really really mustn't weigh every day as it gives you the impression youve gained weighed when you haven't. I used to do it all the time and just drove myself mad. Once a week and you can see a proper 7 day result on the scales. It's hard not to jump on them every day I know. Mind you I ate cheese lastnight which I shouldn't as it doesn't agree with me and am really suffering now : (

I find it hard to resist bread. My favourite snack is marmite on toast, but if I eat it I blow up like a balloon and look about 8 months pregnant. I try to nibble on cooked meat with salad wrapped up in it instead.

Just an aside to the weigh every day thing - I use my training watch to sync my scales with my training data. This is pretty useful, especially if you do weigh every day, as it will give you the trending average - i.e. which way you are going over the week. Seeing it as a graph of your ups and downs puts it all into perspective.
Keeping busy usually helps, and now the warmer weather is here I'm running out of excuses not to get going. Already pulled furniture around in the front room and tried to clean up neglected areas, and spend some time outside cutting back the ivy (which I hadn't realised had expanded so much until I actually decided to look at closely, surprising what moving stuff around the patio reveals). But much of the time of late is trying to chase a problem with the PC with the help of a kind chap on a PC help site; and that doesn't seem to block out any thoughts of feeling empty.
As a general rule roughly a step up over the weekend and more variable but more likely to be downwards for the rest of the week. This Wednesday being one of the exceptions.
I find low calorie cup a soups very filling

I have soup almost every lunchtime. Cup soups occasionally as an "emergency" fill, but I don't find them that filling, for long. (Pet food; well, regulars will know, I can't stand that.) I'm wondering if I keep quaffing low cal squash every time I get a hunger pang that'll squash the craving.
I'm making Scotch broth tomorrow from the bone from our Easter leg of lamb. I prefer home made soup too.
Ah, down another 0.2 lbs. That's good.
And down again 1.2 lbs from yesterday. Clearly getting near the high rise weekend !

Despite devouring a box of devon fudge I have still stayed the same . I am surprised ED that you are encouraging every day weighing .My experience of this is when I weighed more than once a week I would say if I had gained well damage is done now so would be naughty for rest of week saying to myself I will make a fresh start next week . It just don't work like lhat.
Up :-( 0.2 lbs for the week.
Was so hoping for larger drops today and yesterday to compensate for the long weekend.
Not so good morning.....woke up an hour ago freezing, sneezing, blowing my nose and when I weighed myself I saw to my horror I was 2 kilos more than the last time with no treating etc to account for it. I shall now creep back to bed and wallow in my misery.

I keep telling O_G not to weigh himself every day. He doesn't listen! Really O_G. Come on. :)
