I read that the popstar rhianna has taken back her badboy lover Chris Brown. Can she be that stupid and what kind of message is that to send to her teenage fans. "oh beat me up as long as you say sorry its fine!".

i'm surprised by the lack of opinion.
I don't think she has a responsibility to her fans other than to produce music they like...........
Don't lots of women do exactly the same? they seem to be attracted to these sort of men.
most people are too busy logging off and logging on with a different username!

I think hopefully she will see the light, there are enough people around her who think she should be shot of him
I don't get that at all. I was once in a relationship that suddenly and without warning became abusive. I left him that night never to return.

I used to see this sort of thing all the time in the criminal courts. Women beaten up by their partners and they would have got back together by the time of the trial - astonishing. And by the time it got to trial it wasn't the first time.
So why do they do it then,Barmaid? (and invariably moan about it years later).
My parents had a very abusive relationship and mum always said she wouldn't leave as she had no where to go and who would want her with kids.

Made me think if anyone laid a finger on me I's copy Barmaid no matter what even if I had to live in a hostel. Better to have peace of mind.
I've no idea Sgt Rock - I am no psychologist. Although from the cases I have seen (hundreds) the common themes tend to be low income/out of work adults, young children by previous partners, drink or drugs problem, previous offences by the aggressor/low level of education. Clearly Rhianna doesn't fit in all or any of these categories so that just proves that domestic violence can happen anywhere.

In my experience the women go back because "I love him and I forgive him". And that's where I cease to understand it.
There you go Sgt - there is another reason why women go back. A loyalty (however misguided) to their children. That's often a powerful factor.
I honestly think the bully-boy type chooses and grooms his victim. then he destroys her self confidence, she loses her friends and family, and then she has no one and he is her whole world. she thinks no one else will want her (probably because he tells her that), so she goes back because he is all she has, and she can't imagine life without him.

very sad.
I heard they got married recently, not sure if it's true.

Its a sad day when personal safety takes secondplace to infatuation. I bet i ts not the last time she is hurt by him.
