Hi ABers I was recently seeing this guy from work. He is 31 and I am 21. We were together for 4 months. I really enjoyed spending time with him but the spark just disappeared so I ended it. I told him the truth but now he won't even speak to me and when we pass at work he just looks away. I have emailed him begging him to give me a chance to speak to him properly but I just get no response. What can i do?? He is making me feel terrible for ending it but surely that was better than carrying on pretending all was okay??

you've done enough, you were honest and it Is not your fault that there is no spark, did he really want to carry on with you not feeling anything towards him. You can say lets be friends all you like but it doesnt seem to me he is mature enough. Sounds more like hes the 21 year old. Leave him to it, if you meant anything as a friend he will come running back.
I used to see a guy from work to. And we were seeing each other for about a month. Then like you the spark dissappeared. We used to have a quick kiss in the corridors and so on all that sort of exciting stuff. But eventually it just got boring. He started developing real feelings for me also, which kind of thru me back. So once i ended it he to reacted the same way. And it is very awkward. So i left him to it. In the end he came round and started talking to me then trying to try it on again. So I made it very clear that its not what I wanted no more. I think work relationships dont work and all they are is excitment. I think you have done the right thing. You have tried to explain why you did what you did but he didnt want to listen. So just play him at his own game. Leave him be, let him sulk. He WILL get over it and come round. Good luck xx
i think u have done all you can , u have been decent in offering him a chance for a chat

he probaly feels rejected , hurt and embarrased , lie low for a while and in time he and you will proably be friends again , you often find this with men , i went out with a good friend of mine of 14 years , realtionship lasted 6 months!!! now he cant talk to me and it is horrible , but you did the right thing if you was not happy i imagine its akward at the moment but these things pass good luck xx
Don't do anything else, you were honest, sh*t happens and your both adults. If he wants to ignore you let him.
