I have to perform a reading at my brother's wedding, either a poem or a piece of prose, preferably non-religious as it is a civil service. If anybody has any ideas I would be very grateful indeed! Driss

I once heard Shakespeare's Sonnet 116 beautifully read and well received at a civil wedding ceremony. You'll find it by clicking http://www.stanford.edu/~klingner/beauty/love.html I don't know your particular 'audience', of course, but give it a thought.
You could have looked at the answers to the question 4 below yours, but if that's too much effort here's a link to an ongoing thread question 33559

Thought this was a site for asking and answering questions and not basically 'bitching', when we can accept that people make mistakes the world will be a better place, until then i think i'll be avoiding this site until all the 'gremlins' have been erradicated from the system. Btw Check out the words for The Rose for lyrics that are suitable for ther wedding. Cheers
