Deccies Up

was not going to bother withChristmas at all this year, heart not really in it but ...have spent the day dragging deccies down from the attic and everything is twinkling around me now...pleased I made the effort after all..cards tomorrow...climbing from the doldrums..slowly... anyone else got their deccies up ?

Will do mine the day before Christmas Eve. That's soon enough.

Will have dad's lamp back by then and that will take pride of place on the mantlepiece.

JNO..was a spur of the moment thing, would normally do it mid December.. more a therapeutic exercise than anything to kick start me ...

But it's still NOVEMBER!!!!

I shant bother until a few days before. Then I shall just do a floral display of holly, ivy, pinhead chrysanths, roses and other bits over the mantelpiece. And that's if I can be bothered!

We're all undecided about the Christmas decorations - we're in a different house now so don't know where a tree would go. Plus we've got a kitten. We might get an outside LED light tree thing but we'll definitely put something up (not too early though).

Quite a lot of houses have their decorations up around here. I don't think I'm going to bother this year. I'm away for Christmas and when I come back, I'm then away for NY. I might just burn a Christmas candle

Got my first Xmas card today. I know they say Post Early for Xmas but this is ridiculous.

Nope...I don't put them up. I used to put them up when the kids were little but I couldn't wait to take them down again.

My trees have been up since last year or the year before. One is pink and the other green.

I gave up rescuing the decorations and/or trees from the cats - but they are now 12 so they are a little calmer.

I know BM.. lol... but have been ever spiraling downwards and had to take control somehow... so now I can see a bit of light again...

"She who must not be obeyed" does not acknowledge that there is even a thing called Christmas until after her birthday on the 10th. You try getting a Birthday Card at this time of the year...... MARE. Remember Tills you promised to give us the heads up when your Dad's lamp was finally lit again. Picture is a must young lady.

I have family visiting for Christmas but will not put up decorations until just before they arrive. Won't bother with a tree this year. Too much.
