I'm taking a guess that some people here do.....

Anywho, I just realised the office line still had the 'closed for xmas' message on it so had to change it. On listening back I sound like a whiny gerbil. It's horrible hearing your own voice!

I agree, I hate my voice if I hear it on playback, I am guessing a lot of people feel this way as most people I have spoken to also hate the sound of their own voices.
The answer I put on my answerphone sounds rather nice because I was speaking in my best queens english. But that is misleading. When I get recorded unknowlingly I sound totally different and my suf lundun accent creeps back. My voice sounds deeper than I think it is too.

I have different voices. I put my posh voice on for this. But I sound like a snooty cow.

I have been accused of being from Bristol and then Essex in the same day. hhhmmm.

I'm getting my coat >>>>>>

ha ha, oh Salla, I just spat my tea all over my laptop.
i hate mine. So much so that i try and speak in a higher pitch when it has to be recorded. But thats so difficult to do.

strange thing is people confuse my voice and my mums and get us mixed up all the time and yet i think she has a much nicer voice lol
i have a v sexy phone voice apparently!

thanks vibes, but when we're stranded in the desert, i'll be the one living off my fat reserves whilst you fade away (this is the reason i eat cake honest)
i hate the sound of my voice - its strange how you hear yourself differently when speaking, to when you hear your voice on an answerphone. I sound like Bianca from Eastenders on the answerphone.
I think you hear it differently when you're talking because it echoes around the bone inside your head. My voice sounds deep when I'm talking but high-pitched and nasal when I hear it recorded.

Me too apparently Fluffy. Well so I was told all the time when I worked in a call centre. Used to get chatted up a lot by young fellas. Good job there were no cameras and they couldn't see the old biddy on the other end of the line. It boosted my morale though!!
Milly nothing to do with this thread but your earlier one about the soldier, Pretty sure he is from the north-east, probably wearside by the accent and the wrong number was in Gateshead which has the same dialling code.
