Have run car up and down road (after advise from billynomates) but still chugging after changing battery.

How long before it goes back to normal or is there a reset I can do? I bought car without a manual does any one have one? does it tell you what to do after battery change?

Thank you.

Have you driven it for about 30 minutes in varying conditions ?

By that I meant a bit of stop start town traffic and a bit of speed on a dual carriageway/motorway.

have done this and does seem to work, the longer i drive the better performance, still a bit lumpy at times after 45 mins running, i presume will go back to normal?

It should do. Both cars I have owned have gone back to normal within about 30 minutes or so when the battery has been replaced or disconnected.

Both older cars and I'm not familiar with the A3.

Perhaps a tad more sophisticated than my experiences !
