Pretty much as it says on the tin really. I don't use many hair products on a day to day basis really but I have a fringe so even though my hair is usually up I need to straighten that. Hairspray leaves my hair feeling rigid and makes it look greasy the next day (I don't like to wash my hair everyday) and I'm not mad keen on the smell. What else can I use?

Actually, while I'm asking about hair products.... What's a good heat protection spray serum thingy?

I miss my sister in auzzie land... she used to get my hair products for me :-/

Cheers!

why do you have to use hairspray anyway - why not just straigten it and leave it?

My hairs not the sort of hair that retains any style for long without some sort of product, it's naturally quite wavy, borders on curly.

Ha! It's a tres sexy look... I get that little parting at the front of my fringe that makes me look like a muppet ;0)
Don't know about alternatives to hairspray (maybe strong hold mousse) but I use the Aussie leave in conditioning heat spray. There are some quite good products in the Aussie range:-

Thanks tiggs, will have a looksy.

And I believe *** in the hair is probably considered inappropriate if you work for a child protection team... Can't think why...
The Schwarzkopf heat protect spray is quite good for holding a style; you can get it from Boots.

Thank you sophie :c)
Boots Expert hair products are very good, they do a heat protection spray and I've never found a better hairspray than Elnett, they do non-perfumed.

Thanks for all the different options, I will go and stare at them all in mild confusion at boots this evening :c)
