my husband is suffering from bouts of vomitting/reflux, it can happen at the start of a meal or the end or even just a couple of bites of toast. there is no pattern to it, it can happen for several days then he will be fine for three/four weeks, or it will happen 2/3 week for several weeks. 2 doctors have put it down to stress, he had anervous breakdown 3yrs ago. has been prescribed cimetidine tabs which work sometimes, but he really wants to get off medication and sort it out himself (he has successfully managed to stop taking prozac)

anybody experienced similar to this, any ideas or alternative treatments?

a friend of mine had similar problems, he had an endoscopy and found out it was an ulcer - could this be it???

I have a problem due to my stomach area due to stress, but I have IBS - sounds like this could be the problem.

I get awful continuous heartburn when I am stressed, and try and do food combining, that is not mixing protein and carbohydrates at the same meal. It makes you feel a lot better. There are loads of books on it. It also helps to find out what foods produce alkaline and which acid, it's not necessarily what you would think. Try and have a lot more alkaline producing foods every day than acid. This really helps. Also, give up caffeine and alcohol, boring, but it works.
