Does anyone not feel 'Christmassy'?

4 weeks to go and we have 4 threads on the trot about it.
Whats it going to be like on the build up?
There is a Christmas Topic especially for....wait for it...... Christmas that way other peoples threads arent pushed off recent posts.

Why cant you all chat on the one thread which has been posted and add to that rather than start another one or is that too simplistic?

Dont bah humbug as I along with others dont celebrate just endure it.

I couldn't agree more. I don't 'do' Christmas at all. It means nothing to me, has no interest for me.

I think the thing I object to most is the 'compulsory' happiness that says if you're not deliriously joyful just because it's Christmas then there must be something fundamentally wrong with you...

I don't "do" Christmas very much either.

I'll probably just give the family kids cash this year .... seems to be the most popular choice with them.

I don't put decorations or a tree up .... but I quite like the "eating, drinking and being merry" bit. :o)

I hate being dictated to-thats the reason we have CB-its a free for all.Then theres specificTopics which I can choose to ignore Weather being one.Christmas being another.How simple you would think..
Poor CAJ1's update thread has been overshadowed by childish nonsence (I could understand if it were Christmas Eve) and it was to tell you about a truly life altering occasion for her.I am very happy for her.

Way way way too early -some people who are skint havent even been paid yet -they'll be delighted about the rosy glow when they dont have to pennies to rub together.
Can we make an amnesty that theres only excitement a week before not 4 blooming weeks..

Actually, I'm fibbing about the tree. I have one that's about an inch and a half tall. I put it out each year to wind my sis up (she has a huge monster of a tree, a massive blow-up snowman in her garden, reindeer pulling a sleigh on the garage wall etc).

If I'm honest, I'm not feeling at all 'Christmassy' but I still welcome a few light-hearted threads where the posters have simply used the theme of Christmas to find a common starting point.

I get fed up with all of the Christmas ads on the telly, with the Christmas music being played in shops, etc, but that doesn't mean that I'm opposed to someone trying to start a bit of banter through mentioning Christmas.
