I know this point has already been made, but I'm just curious to see how many users have a problem with the white background. IMHO it is to harsh on the eyes and makes my eyes hurt after long periods on ABank.

I have a Yahoo Group set up and have played around with the background colours to find a less harsh one. I have found that pale pastel colours are better and shouldn't detract from the general appearance of this well structured site. It is a shame that I have had to reduce my activity here, merely because of a colour change.

Does anyone else agree/disagree, and is there any chance of changing the white background techies?

I agree re-pastel shades. I also think that stencils are a good idea, and perhaps knocking a wall down to create a more open-plan feel......
Dont take the **** Birchy,I think Raiths Idea is spot on.
yes, the white is too glaring.
Agreed Wraith.  Lots of people have problems reading black on white.  A very pale cream would look better.
Mark an X next to my name in the 'OK with that' column.

I also agree that white is not a good choice. Please change the colour AB Ed! *flutters eyelashes*

Ow, I like wearing sunglasses when using the computer.

Open plan Birchy, now there's an idea.

Thanks woofgang, I had noticed the previous queries, but just wanted to see how many users found it a problem.

Any chance AbEd or techies of a reply to this? Please.

I agree with you Wraith - it's real pain in the eyes!

The whole colour scheme is user unfriendly.

I have only just found this site and still need to find my feet. I like the overall layout and colour scheme. The white background is very bright.

The only way I've coped is to use sun glasses to and change my screen settings to lower the glare, but that is no good for some other sites cos I can't read them!!

Please Techies can you alter the background?
