I usually use Head and Shoulders- the 2 in 1 type as I am always in a rush. This has stopped working and I am getting dandruff again. My hairdresser told me it was evil stuff and that it strips your hair of it's natural oils or something- they said it removes colour from towels!! Anyway, does anyone have another shampoo and/or conditioner that they would recommend for, dandruff?

Neutrogena TGel. Great stuff. Works for the whole flaky scalp syndrome, including those nasty eczema-round-the-hairline thingies. Good luck.

I too used to have a problem. It all started when I had a reaction to some hairspray. I first of all used to treat it with some coal tar shampoo recommended by the chemist. That didn't work too well.

I tried Head and Shoulders and that made it worse.

Then I discovered Neutrogena TGel, it's the most expensive of all the shampoos but it does work.

I now use Fructis Dandruff Shampoo and find that to be excellent as well.

neutrogena is excellent stuff, but it's pricey.  Start by using that then gradually start using Vosene Original shampoo.  Steer clear of any creamy shampoos and stick to the clear, amber coloured stuff, this normally means it's medicated and isn't full of artifical smells etc.
T-Gel gets another vote. Does smell bad though! I've found that it's miles cheaper in Tesco than Boots though so shop around......

the only thing that works on my hair is called selsun, you'll have to ask behind the pharmacy for it.

nizoral

this stuff is fantastic, costs a fortune though (fortunately my dad buys it so i just steal his) but not so good if you're in a rush since it focuses on dandruff & so you need a regular shampoo first

I have psoriasis on my scalp and have tried all the dandruff shampoo's to no avail. My hairdresser recommende Lakme peeling therapy shampoo (7 per bottle) expensive but wow does it work. ~Completely flake free from day 1!

Good luck
