I know what you mean Bobbi!

Every since my grandaughter was born, I've spent loads on buying pink stuff for her.
Well I never had a daughter!!!!

Lovely isn't it. My granddaughter is nearly 16 now but I used to have her for one or two weeks at a time when she was a baby, I like to think we formed some sort of a bond. I helped her out a few months ago with some holiday money, I remember I couldn't have afforded to do that for her mother when she was her age.
Nowadays we have more time and money to care for them than we had for our own children.

I live for today Doc same as my philosophy in life ;-0)
You've hit the nail on the head there Bobbi.
It's all the fun and none of the responsibility.

You can indulge your grandchildren in a way that's fabulous for you, and good for them, because you are a source of entertainment with very little restriction, so from their earliest age, you represent a good time to them.

There is that bonding with your children again as you guide them through parenthood, with the experience you gained, but couldn't use properly because you were busy gaining it, the first time around.

Nothing 'goes wrong', it all goes fabulously right.

Andy that is sooo true
thanks
Partly because you can give 'em back, Bobbi - you can enjoy the good bits.
Not only grandparents 'melt', Aunties 'melt' too when they see their nieces and nephews; especially when they see their favourite...
I liked that boxtops, give them back!!!

I admit it is tiring when I have my grandaughter for a weekend, all that running away, trying to keep them amused, wondering when are they gonna have a nap, the fun and games. I must say I couldn't do it full time!!
my middle g'child annoys me; he cries if he doesn't get his way......attention seeker ! Too much he wont eat or do - if he were my son; I'd have kicked his backside by now. Dont tell my DIL !

AWW mines just 6 ,Tamb, eats all his veg, great manners,,,(not dissing yours btw)
I put that down to my daughter and the way I taught her which I feel a bit chuffed about
My two are spoiled like hell and act like little brats, not their fault, its my daughter who spoils them.

My younger daughter thinks they are little sh1ts.
I don't think my Grandparents have ever melted when they seen me :-(
