they usually say take with water...but is there any reason why you couldnt take them with say tea, or lemonade, or milk etc

i understand heat might affect some...but isnt it just liquid to help it go down?

also with soluble tablets...in the past i have dissolved say cocodamol or berrocca in lemonade as ive had nothing else available and seems to be fine...but is it?

could the sugar have an effect?

thanks

I thought they just put water as that's the liquid that's available at all times.

I think grapefruit juice can have a harmful reaction with some medications. I take tablets for high blood pressure and on one of the packets it warns against drinking that juice. I never liked it, so no problem.
grapefruit juice effects the ability of the intestine to absorb some medications. (and somewhat counter intuitively, this results in a higher level of the drug in the bloodstream!)

As long as there are no contraindications, such as stated above with grapefruit juice, then any liquid will do. I often take soluble paracetamol in diluted squash.
Headwreck there a certain fruit juices that cannot be drunk while taking certain tablets, the most likely ones are grapefruit and cranberry. I couldn't eat rhubarb when I was taking Calcium and Vitamin D tablets for osteopena. Google it if you need to know which ones. By all accounts these fruit juices double the effects of the tablets.
ANY fluid will do. No big deal.
If you are taking BP lowering (Calcium channel blockers or cholesterol lowering drugs, don´t take with grapefruit juice)
