has anybody tried them, or know anbody who has? I am considering sperm insemination as I do not have a partner and am 40 years old, currently childess. Just wondering what your thoughts are?

I presume you mean artificial insemination using donor sperm?
If so you will have to pay privately for the procedure as it is (rightly so) not available on the NHS.
Go for it.....If you can afford it and can support yourself and a child...I so wanted to do this but lost the chance due to needing a hysterectomy (mis diagnosis) biggest regret of my life if you really want a child you may never be happy if you don't at least try ....it is expensive but at least if you go to a reputable centre you will know all the safety screening is done...

Good luck
why not i say! if you can afford to keep a child and can give it plenty of love then why let a lack of a partner get in the way. Good luck xxx
That's really wrong. Do you really think society needs more fatherless children? It's a good thing most people can't afford that.
Fatherless children are no worse off than those with fathers as long as the mother is a good one.
Many fatherless children are raised very well....
