Been taking ibropfen (sp) every four hours.

Could they be upsetting my stomach? Not eaten much for the last few days because I feel a bit sickly...but still taking the tablets.

oooh yes, ibuprofen should only be taken on a lined tum!! if you need a painkiller and can take it, use paracetamol.
What strength?
Yes they could.
Every 4 hours is a lot.......whatever the strenth.

I don't know....I've run out :-(

Just the bog standard ones from over the counter. They said every 4 hours....obviously just day light hours.
Question Author
Sqad....I feel really poorly :-(
You poor thing. I always thought you weren't supposed to take those on an empty stomach, maybe you need to try and eat more - it's a vicious circle when you're not feeling well though.
Hope you get better soon :)
Question Author
I tried to eat last night. Managed a little bit. Didn't eat Tuesday or Wednesday....
ummmm.....Nip into your GP tonight and suggest to him that you need something stronger.
what symptoms are you taking the ibuprofen for?
Poor ummmm. Take paracetamol and definitely stop the Ibuprofen. I always find Gaviscon helps if I have a queasy tummy. I think it lines the tum or something. Sqd will now. Take it easy. xx
ummmm I'm taking Ibuprofen also which my G.P prescribed. But he also gave me some OMEPRAZOLE to take which puts a linning on your stomach. Matbe you should go to see your G.P. If the pain continues
Woofy, ummmm has broken her finger(s)
Please note, I can spell but my keyboard is iffy and misses out some letters!! My typing looks like something out of 'ello 'ello these days!! I meant 'Squid' of course and 'Know'

Woof....broke my finger. It feels like it's getting worse not better :-( I'm starting to think my other finger might be broken as well.....

It's worse because it's my right hand....and the kids kept trying to get me to catch things knowing instinct kicks in.

I live with evil people....
I have broken two toes and people always think it is funny! It is no joke breaking a digit, it bloomin' well hurts - a lot.
genetics has a lot to answer for. I think milk lines the tummy, if you can take it (but this may be an old wives' tale; if so old doctor sqad will say so)
Question Author
I have milkshake every morning.....

Lofty....broke all 4 fingers, thumb, and hand on the left...coped much better than now.
sorry, didn't know.....well first of all kill the kids, that should make you feel better. Have you tried an icepack on the fingers? Good old frozen peas or sweetcorn (cos small bits mould better) wrapped in a teatowel and then rest the painful bits on it. Don't use for long periods or without the wrap or you risk skin damage. i would deffo talk to the GP about a different painkiller if the IBu isn't working at that dose and it will make you feel decidedly horrid on an empty tum as well as risking tum bleeds like aspirin does
jno.....I am at a stage in my life when I quite fancy "old wives" anything ;-)
Question Author
I'm not being lazy....but..!! My Doctors is miles away.

Kill the kids....love that idea :-)
are you alone ummmmmm? maybe if you are feeling that bad a friend should be with you.
