You could probably have an exciting relationship, but not for long. So long as you don't mind knowing that there's a strong probability she'll move on to someone younger eventually, then where's the harm?
It could possibly be the latter, but who knows. A relationship could work out but would perhaps only be short lived she may prefer a younger model in time.

I'd guess there are no guarantees, but then there aren't in any relationship, regardless of age.

Depends also what you mean by 'can this situation ever work?'.  If you talk to her and discover that all you both fancy is a fling and some fun times together, then it may work perfectly.  If she seems to want something more meaningful or long term, then you have to think about what you want and whether you want it with her.

I'm sure there are couples out there who've got a 29 (28!) year age difference and are very happy together.  If you guys were meant to be, it'll happen.  I'd be tempted to take things further to be honest.  As long as you both go into this with your eyes open (and it sounds like you certainly would), and communicate well throughout, you could have fun and maybe more!  Life's too short not to try for happiness whenever it presents itself...........

Let us know what happens? (if that isn't too cheeky!!??) Good luck.xx

After sounding out a range of friends with your question, the predominant female reaction is 'Ugh, dirty old man' and the male one, 'Lucky old so and so, go for it'. So, take your pick!
all very well keen2learn, but would your female colleagues reactions be the same if extern76 looked like a 50 year old Robert Redford or Sean Connery??  I think not.
Have fun while it lasts mate and give her one for me. :)
Know what you mean, Jills, but can't help thinking that some of the draw there is in the charisma, bank balance and history. I don't think Sean or Robert would be considered to be the babe magnets they undoubtedly are if they were dim-witted losers. Power, whether physical, financial or positional, is the only real aphrodisiac. Feeling strong, Extern76?

Ok, point taken keen2learn, maybe you're right.  But I have to say that a lot of women I know just don't care about age at all.   Personnally, at age 33, if I were on the look out for a new bloke, I'd be more likely to go for a 50 year old than a 21 year old.   Give me a man with life experience, who knows how to please a women in bed and who has done something with his life, rather than one of those modified car loving, *** in 60 seconds, stud-u-likes anyday.   (God, re-reading that, I sound old!! LOL!)

extern76....you just HAVE to tell us what happens.  I'm on tenterhooks with my fingers crossed for you!!xx

P.S. keen2learn....you really do have a point cos I've just remembered that some people find Wayne Rooney attractive (those he doesn't pay, that is).  Now if that's not a case of power/money blinding them to his ugly mug, then I don't know what is.  The boy is actually, genetically, clinically ugly.  F'ugly infact!!!

Thank you keen2learn and jills excellent responses. Money or success is certainly not the aphrodisiac in my case, however a sence of humour and being dedicated to the female orgasm may be better selling points. lots of love P (extern76 )
