Try to only lose 2 pounds (1 kilo) a week or less. Faster than that isn't safe. You would be better with a body composition scale rather than just weight. These measure your % fat and once you're in the healthy range for you that's the place to stay.
Hi, I am also on a low fat weight programme and have been since last Sept. I haven't lost weight as quickly as you have but am very pleased with the new me. I do an easy workout every day (my age limits me a bit there) but find my "skin" is toning up nicely. I wish you all the luck and when you can see the difference it makes all the giving up worth while.
If you have a chat with your GP he or she will be able to tell you what is right for you.
I might add that it goes faster in the beginning.

Well done you!

ahh thanks :) i am starting to enjoy it im just worried i wont be happy and still have saggy skin after all this but im looking to the future with a positive outlook on it all the other diets i have been on in the past were so silly so i just decided to change my whole way of thinking. And my family have got involved too so they are getting a healthier more rounded diet too. well done to you xstitcher too keep it up :) and thanks john i will make an appt at the docs :)
That would depend how much weight you have to lose.
If you were really overweight to start with thenit would be ok or if your doctor/hospital put you on this diet if it is your own decision you may need to be aware of the possibility of losing out on the fat soluble vitamins and possibly get some advice from your gp or hospital dietitians if they are involved in your care.

The other thing if this is the first time you have ever been on a diet then weight loss is often more extreme than later attempts and it will slow down a lot as your body adjusts
I would say completely eliminating fat and dairy or any food group is not wise in the long run, congratulations on your weight loss though, the sport will make you feel good too.

the flexibility of your skin would depend on your weight and age
i had gall stones when i was young and i know how painful it can be believe me lol.
I do think cuting out dairy and all fat is a no no really. Soon as your gall stones are out or u relax a bit your going to pile the weight back on hunni! Go to a local slimming club explain your situation and they will sit with you and tailor make a diet for you x

i havnt eliminated it completely that would be terrible!!!! im sticking to anything less than 5% fat as everytime i eat something with more fat in or dairy i get an attack in the middle of the night!! im currently awaiting a scan which they have said can take anything from 6 weeks!!! everytime i go to the hospital or docs my weight is blamed and i come away feeling dejected and wrong!!!!! i havnt had any attacks since i started the diet and i am still getting me essential vits minerals and omega 3 from fish, fresh fruit and vegetables xxx

by the way im 31 and have quite a bit to lose :(
If you have lots to lose then it's probably quite normal and will slow down.
If it any consolation when I start a new diet I can lose two stone in the first couple of months before it drops back to the 2 pounds a week pattern,, if the hospital are blaming your weight I suspect you are at least borderline obese so it probably was a reasonable loss don't get despondant when it slows down just see it as nature giving you a bit of a boost to start
