and I'm not talking heritage ;-) I have recently had my hair lightened and highlights put through. But as expected after two weeks my roots are showing (not a huge amount, but tstill there) any good tips for disguising them in between "touch-ups"?

Thats one reason why I stopped getting highlights-well that and the pain.!!
Try a cunning sweeping fringe with just the tiniest bit of back combing and a good flexi hold spray.

thats the trouble with highlites, they dont go right to the root of the hair so in theory you have a thin dark line even before they start to grow. and another thing, why is it that when you have light hair the roots grow through dark but when you have dark hair the roots grow through light!
HATED roots. So ended up not dyeing or highlighting any more. White now... But at least I don't have roots any more.
With my hair was pure white, but its salt n pepper so I still highlight. I find that having shorter layers helps with roots.
