I try and look after myself and eat well exercise when I can I am heavy at 13 stone but I am 6 ft tall and wide shoulders like a rower in body shape really. Both my parents have bad leg veins esp as they have got older turning to thick vavacus veins. I was always told not to cross my legs as a kid and after years of sitting uncomfortable by not crossing my legs I have seen over the last few years more and more veins. I am not a 'legs on show' person anyway but i feel even more less likely to show them now.

I am extremely annoyed that I have these so much at 29 when I have not been crossing my legs as I think they are only going to get worse from now on. Please can soemone give me any advice on these they and big blue and green veins and also the thin spider like veins. Can they be reversed at all with increased exercise or diet or medication?

Is this something I should bother my doctor with??

Thanks in advance

Yeah you can have them treated. I had thread veins treated when I was 21, and I had them terribly by the time I was 14. They were injected with something that makes the vein shrivel up. I believe they can treat them with laser now though. Go speak to your GP, they will be able to tell you what treatment you need and then you can consult a cosmetic surgeon. I think some beauticians might offer the treatment but I wouldn't be happy with that myself even if it is a touch cheaper.
Yep agree wih goodsoulette, see your doctor for advise,i had a vein stripped some years ago,but sadly it came back
A friend of mine had to get her varicose veins done when she was 21. Thread veins can be sorted out with laser, or electrolysis but if both your parents have bad veins, then you will probably inherit them and I would imagine the only thing that would sort that out would be surgery.
