Hi All

I am 6 weeks pregnant and I have started breaking out on my face and neck and also my back.  I would appreciate any suggestions as this is hard as I never had this problem before.

Thanks

Princess - Firstly, congratulations on your pregnancy. I would imagine that the outbreak of pimples is down to hormonal change, although your best bet would be to make an appointmnt with your GP, to put your mind at rest. Good luck.
I think it's just one of the drawbacks of being pregnant in the early months. In a couple of months time it should improve but mention it to your midwife anyway.
Wash your face with warm to hot water (try NOT to burn yourself ;) ).  The hot water will open your pores to allow the soap to clean them out.  When you're sure ALL THE SOAP IS OFF (very important as soap can clog pores) rinse your face with decently cold water.  This should close the pores that were opened by the hot water and protect them from dirt etc.  Personally, I find that Cetophyl (not sure if I'm spelling that right...) works very well for me, and you should also add LIGHT moistunerigzers to your face so it doesn't dry out.  Good Luck and congrats!
I'm afraid this happened to me at about 8 weeks pregnant and now at 22 weeks I'm still getting face breakouts and my back's never been this bad in my life. I think it's hormonal but for most women it gets better after 12 wks.
