I'm getting married in a few months and would like to lose a bit of weight before the big day. I was thinking that perhaps if a few ABers came on board it might make me more focused. I was thinking that anyone who wants to play should just say what sort of diet they are going to follow, be it weightwatchers, celebrity diet or just their own way of doing it. Obviously everyone can check back in every 3/4 days with updates.

Right, me first. I'm 13.4 stone on the scales and I've decided to go down the no carbohydrates road. I'll be eating chicken, pork, eggs, fish and stuff like that and trying to cut out potatoes, pasta, bread and the like.

Everyone welcome and whoever wins gets a prize of a feeling of tremendous wellbeing.

Good luck.

If you cut out your carbs. you'll find after a couple of days you'll feel tired. Cut out fats and sugar instead.
exercise.. and if you already exercise, you need to take it up a notch or two.

congrats on your forthcoming nuptials :o)
I cut right down on chocolate bread and potatoes, all of which I love, and I have lost nearly a stone. Slow but gratifying!
Exercise...

I'm watching my cousin (who wasn't over weight anyway) drop weight by mainly just exercise. He jogs every morning now and has work outs in the evening...

He has to get his weight down for a boxing match...
If you are prone to depression don't take out the carbs. My psychiatrist explained it all to me one day - I forget the details.

Try a low GI diet - you eat carbs that continue to give you the energy that you need.

I know loads about dieting. I am an expert. :-)

just try a healthy approach by cutting out junk food and cutting down on alcohol, then have 1 day in the week where you allow yourself a treat, long term it is better for you, try to incorporate some exercise daily.

the problem with fad diets are that you will gain back the weight you lost.
