Without going into all details ect as we would be here for quite a long time, I have begun over about the past 3 or so months, to slowly stop seeing my Dad and thinking as to why, there is no reason. I have not spoke/seen in about 2 weeks currently and have just been texte'd saying he's just out of hosp, I have no idea as to why but dont feel ready to contact or visit him but I dont know why. I do care / love him beyond any amount of words but just feel as if that it is not right if i rung him as i know i would no doubt have little to say which is another thing stopping me

HELP please!

There is obviously a not you are not telling us as your post does not make sense. Your father is your father and if, as you claim, you love him, you would contact or visit him when he is just out of hospital. If there is something else going on here how can complete strangers possibly comment?
fair comment, grasscarp.
It probably will get harder the longer you leave it. So it may be best to phone him as soon as poss to get it over with. You don't need to say a lot. Dad's don't generally talk a lot on the phone anyway.
as previously said there is perhaps we are not understanding here but perhaps you are feeling awkward moreso due to having allowed time to pass. Go and visit him and I am sure you will feel better.
Actually, it may be your love for him that stops you going.
Don't be so hard on yourself. It's very hard watching someone you thought was strong and unstoppable being weak and frail. You prefer to think of him the way he was, not the way he is.

Problem being is you stop seeing him because you don't want to ruin your memories, then he dies and your left wishing you had said goodbye.
You'll miss him when he's gone....

Believe me :-(
relasionships are complicated sometimes we do things and cannot fathom why
it is difficult toknow what to advise as your post is a little vague
try a phone call and take it from there x
I agree with ummmm you will miss him once he has gone I still visit my mothers grave 50 years after she died and still regret the fact Icould not say goodbye make the effort and go see your dad however he is you will be glad you did !!!!!
It may not be easy to see someone you love in such a situation but I tink you need to take a deep breath and prevent this becoming a habit, Once you have become used to the situation you'll should find you can cope with it without problem. Push yourself for a bit, until it isn't an issue.
