Is there a book or even website which describes how the memory works; I don't mean the scientific or mechanics but, for example, you try to remember a phone number or a name, then you leave it alone and then!...as if out of the blue, it suddenly comes to you, but you don't know how or why; or how can a person be asked a question e.g. on Mastermind and they come back with an answer straightaway...or nearly so? Ta Muchly.

There is, but I can't for the life of me remember what it's called! (guess who hasn't read it?) It's in my work so I'll check tomorrow.
Just remembered the author Tony Buzan - I've checked Amazon and there are quite a few by him.
Yes because he is a crook. Almost all of his books refer you to articles in his other books, so you will end up buying them all. Try searching for "memory techniques" on the net. It'll save you a fortune.

Many Thanks Karen...and hey Another-view, be careful, if he or someone reads what you've written, it could be classed as libel and you were only trying to help.
I think Tony Buzan would need than just a decent memory to trace a username to an actual person.

I was going to get a book on memory but I never gave it a second thought.
